Business Development Representative

Overview

ADVANTAGE is seeking a Business Development Representative to generate leads for the sales team by identifying, developing, and building relationships with customers in assigned territories. The role also includes achieving key performance indicators that drive company revenue and sales growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Become proficient in customer communications, effectively delivering the value propositions of ADVANTAGE products by attending all company training sessions.
  • Develop sales scripts to position ADVANTAGE product solutions and coordinate product meetings for prospects and existing clients, which will be led by the Regional Director in your territory.
  • Follow up on all campaign activities and marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) within 48 hours (about two business days) of receiving them. These leads will be filtered and scored for maximum opportunity in setting meetings, with all lead activity directed by the Director of Business Development.
  • Create weekly campaigns using Target Market data to generate prospect meetings for the Regional Directors.
  • Meet all BDR key performance indicators (KPIs) as defined by the Director of Business Development.
  • Maintain and ensure that the CRM database is current and all BDR activity is accurately logged.
  • Collaborate with assigned Regional Directors (RDs) to increase sales and opportunity count by setting up high-quality meetings.

Accountability: 

The individual is directly responsible for meeting and achieving stated sales quotas and other objectives as set forth by the Director of Business Development.

Education/Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Direct banking or credit union experience is preferred. 

Language Ability: 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.  Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.  Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. 

Reasoning Ability:  

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

Computer Skills:  

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.  The individual should also have a working knowledge of a CRM program.

Location

This is a remote position. In-person activities may occur periodically based on business needs.
