Position Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) supports ADVANTAGE’s sales team by generating qualified leads and advancing early-stage sales opportunities. This role primarily conducts outreach to community banks and credit unions through targeted campaigns and timely follow-up of leads. Working closely with the Director of Business Development and a team of Regional Directors, the BDR helps build a healthy sales pipeline and contributes to organizational growth.

Primary Responsibilities

     •   Master ADVANTAGE’s value proposition through training and apply this knowledge when communicating about our solutions
     •   Develop effective scripts and messaging to position our solutions and schedule meetings led by Regional Directors
     •   Create and execute outbound campaigns using target market data to generate high-quality prospect meetings
     •   Conduct timely follow-up on campaign activities and marketing-qualified leads
     •   Ensure all outreach activities are properly documented to support pipeline visibility and reporting
     •   Collaborate closely with internal teams to increase opportunity volume and support overall sales goals
     •   Provide organized, consistent, and professional communication throughout the early stages of the sales cycle
     •   Meet all BDR key performance indicators (KPIs) as defined by the Director of Business Development and sales leadership

Skills & Qualifications

     •   Confident communication skills to engage professionally with executives and respond effectively to inquiries
     •   Skilled in crafting clear, persuasive messaging tailored to different audiences
     •   Able to clearly articulate value propositions and align messaging with audience needs
     •   Effective at delivering concise explanations of complex topics
     •   Strong analytical thinking for interpreting data and information to identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions to support outreach and planning
     •   Highly organized with excellent time-management skills and follow-through
     •   Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
     •   Collaborative and goal-oriented, working closely with internal teams
     •   Accountability for meeting defined KPIs, quotas, and performance objectives
     •   CRM experience required
     •   Proficient in Microsoft Office® Suite

Education & Experience Requirements

     •   A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
     •   One to two years of relevant sales or business development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
     •   Direct banking or credit union experience is preferred
     •   Experience engaging with financial institutions or B2B professional services is a plus
