Business Development Representative

Overview

ADVANTAGE is searching for a business development representative who will be responsible for all sales and client relation efforts in the western states of the US. This includes selling consulting services/products to existing and prospective financial institution clients.  This also includes travel for prospecting and trade show/convention events on a state and national level. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the below (other duties may be assigned). 

  • Identifies challenges of prospective clients as well as existing clients. 
  • Offers solutions by positioning ADVANTAGE services/products as resources to meet those challenges. 
  • Follow up on all campaign activities and leads within 48 hours of receiving them 
  • Gathers data and intel from prospects and generates prospect meetings for the Regional Directors 
  • Check-in weekly with assigned Regional Directors to develop a plan for the month 
  • Follow up with league, association, chapter meetings/events and referral partners on a regular basis to ensure all sales opportunities are being explored 
  • Ensure that the CRM database stays current as financial institutions merge, acquire, etc. Also ensures that contact records within the database stay current as contacts move from one financial institution to another, leave the industry, etc. 
  • Inputs expense information into the CRM database on a timely basis so that expenses may be reimbursed by the accounting department. 

Accountability: 

The individual is directly responsible for meeting and achieving stated sales quotas and other objectives as set forth by the VP Lead Generation.

Education/Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Direct banking or credit union experience is preferred. 

Language Ability: 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.  Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.  Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. 

Reasoning Ability:  

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

Computer Skills:  

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.  The individual should also have a working knowledge of a CRM program.

Location

This is a remote position. In-person activities may occur periodically based on business needs.
